About the Artist
Create a lasting memory
with a portrait by award winning artist Kathryn Collins Gentile.
Kathryn uses a centuries old technique to create portraits in pastel
with a timeless quality at home in any setting. One of the processes
Kathryn employs is a single color pastel to h ighlight a black and
white pastel, resulting in a monochromatic piece with an emphasis on
light and texture. You can also have your commissioned portrait
produced in color, surrounded by the things that have special
meaning to you and incorporate the colors you enjoy.
Kathryn works from artists sketches and from her photographs,
combining elements from each to obtain the best likeness and
composition. In the case of group portraits, this ensures that each
subject appears at his or her best, whether the subjects are people
or their favorite pets. She also works from samples of the
customer’s fabrics, paint and wall coverings to ensure that the
finished piece will complement its surroundings and capture the
distinct personality of the subject.
With a degree in Fine Arts from Seton Hill University and over 25 years
experience, Kathryn's work has been commissioned by private clients
based in New York, Denver, Chicago, Cleveland and her home base of
Atlanta. Kathryn's artistic talents are complimented by her strong
commitment to family life. Married for almost 18 years, she is the
proud mother of two beautiful teenage girls and is one of fourteen
children of Roger and Emily Collins.
Add a meaningful personal accent to your home, corporate interior or
public space and leave a treasured artistic gift of the highest
quality for future generations. Commission a portrait now by calling
